Chromebooks keep students actively involved in their learning both independently and with a collaborative group. The students become more in charge of their learning while allowing me to create and expand on different aspects of lessons that could not be reached without technology. Students are able to collaboratively work on assignments at different times of the day and are also able to communicate with me their goals for the day. It is also a great way to get parent involvement into the classroom because parents are able to tap into what we are accomplishing in class. Chromebooks will be used for Google Classroom which will allow students to interact with one another and manage their work. This is a great way for first graders to take responsibilities for their learning!
