Students at the kindergarten age need to develop socially as well as educationally. I have been a kindergarten teacher for 14 years and the toys that I have in my classroom have been purchased with my personal money throughout the years. Many of my toys are very old and falling apart. That is why I chose to do a donors choose project. Learning through play is a big part of developing small growing minds. Young learners learn best through play, socialization, and real life experiences. I am glad that my school still allows us to have a social day for my students.
