During these difficult times, children may be confused and unsure of the world around them. A good book can always instill important values for children. Exposing my students to diverse literature will help engage them in conversations and topics that may need guidance and reassurance. In a bilingual classroom, we tend to focus on the students’ culture, which in my case, is the Hispanic culture. I want to go deeper and focus on other cultures so that my students have a broader understanding of the various cultures and communities surrounding them.
