I have read and studied the importance of play in child development. Play is rigorous and is shown to teach empathy, creativity, problem solving, leadership, team work, and analytical skills. All dramatic play equipment allow students a chance to explore, delegate jobs, create, and show understanding through child directed play. The students choose where to play and what to use. These dramatic play items provide materials in which the children can manipulate to fit their ideas. Play is cross-curricular and the children implement all teachings in this time of the day. Using easels, doctors tools, cleaning supplies, amongst other dramatic play materials allow students to see the world as a whole and the importance of everyones roles in society.
