As an educator in a low income school district, we try to find positive programs for them to participate in. Athletics is a huge advantage for young people and we strive to offer as many opportunities as possible. As the Lacrosse coach, I work with students in grades six through eight. The young women I mentor face challenges daily and sports is a great outlet for them. Sticks, goggles and goalie equipment are required for our students to take the field. In order for them to access the opportunity to play, they need protective equipment. We have over twenty girls ready to learn how to play lacrosse.
