The Ungifted novel will make a difference because it targets different perspectives from a school principal, teacher, counselor, parents, regular students and gifted students. A regular kid who gets himself in trouble at a lower secondary school and then finds himself in a gifted and talented academy by accident. He finds himself wanting to join robotics in which he never thought he’d be capable of doing that. This novel very much can relate to students in the classroom and help them realize that there are different populations in the school and how to believe in themselves academically no matter what background they may come from. Students will also be able to apply text structures to this novel and work together in groups.
