Technology can help! I teach in an area of great socio/economic diversity. Of greatest concern are those on the edge of homelessness. It is these children that I feel reading can impact the most. My project requests digital recorders that I will use for recording stories which my kindergarten students will track in a big book. This project will replace old tape recorders and Imacs. It supports a "tried and true" program that I have used for years. It truly motivates students to read.
