My classroom focuses on independent reading year-round, and my classroom library is the center of it all. I want to give students choices whenever possible, but that is hard to do when supplies are limited. These books will help me to grow a diverse classroom library for my students; a way for them to experience the world from another person's point of view. Reading these books will open my students' minds to different perspectives on race, sexual identity and preferences, culture, and socio-economic status. Exploring new and different possibilities through literature is one of the best to grow. Help me make those adventures possible!
