My students need materials they can put their hands on to truly understand the properties of geometric solids and learn how to manipulate shapes in a space. Students will use these geometric solids in an engineering project to design a hamster habitat. The first phase of the engineering design process is learning. Students will learn about animal habitats from the books selected while developing and honing reading comprehension strategies. This project will allow students the opportunity to be true STEM learners and develop the skills they will need to lead the next generation of engineers and innovators! Your generous donations will give students a chance to explore mathematics and design concepts in ways that encourage learning for students of all learning styles and abilities. This kind of project is what encourages students' love of learning and develops lifelong learners and thinkers!
