Kindergarten students learn so much through play. Center time is my students favorite time of the day, they absolutely look forward to it the most! That’s why our classroom needs this new kitchen in our dramatic play area. During our developmental centers my students are not only playing they are also learning how to communicate effectively with one another, which in turn is increasing their vocabulary. They are also learning conflict resolution and learning more about individual personalities. They have to learn to work together as a team to clean up when center time is over. During center time my students are learning social skills that they will not only use in Kindergarten but through out their entire lives.
