I am requesting 1 kidney shaped table for small group instruction time. This kidney table will be very helpful with small group instruction. Right now, we use a small, rectangle table. It is hard for me to reach all students. We are also very cramped at the table. A kidney table will allow me to sit in the middle and be within hands reach of all students. I will be able to help them track their reading, use manipulatives for math and it will allow all students to face the teacher and I will make sure that all students are ENGAGED in their learning. This project is important to my class because it will help them be successful. It will make our small group time more efficient. Small group instruction time allows me to give remedial help for students who are below grade level, reinforce content for students who are on grade level and enrich the content for students who are above grade level. Differentiated instruction is very important to me because I believe in teaching ALL students at their level.
