I am looping with my first graders next year into second grade. My students spent quite a bit of time hunting for their bags of leveled books, words on a ring, and endings flashcards that we had made. Next year, I will begin to instill organizational skills within them that will be beneficial for their entire lives. Because of these new organizational storage units, during silent reading, students will be able to review concepts that they are working on to prepare for when I call them to a small group. We will continue to organize our manipulatives so that they are easily accessible to everyone.

About my class
