My students need Lego WeDo Robots to support hands-on STEM learning. The materials provided by this grant, the WeDo 2.0 Core Set, Software, and Get Started Project, is a hands-on solution that will ignite my students’ curiosity, while enhancing their skills in science, engineering, technology, and coding (which are the goals of STEM). Cooperative learning and discovery is also an important component of WeDo Robots, allowing for my multiple ability students to learn from one another. This project facilitates the delivery key science content students of varied abilities. The curriculum within this project supports a clear, easy-to-follow journey through science, including: life-, physical-, earth- and space sciences, and engineering. As a hands-on, and indeed a “minds on” learning solution, WeDo Robots will give the students the confidence to ask questions and the tools to find the answers and to solve real-life problems.
