My class has really loved reading books that they can all read together as a class. It has made them excited about reading! They look forward to finding out what happens next to the characters in the story. Most of the students in my class are below their grade level in reading. These books will give them great motivation to read. The books the really love to read usually have animals in them and characters that are having some kind of conflict. They can relate to these characters. The continual project to motivate these students to read is the goal. Also, helping them to learn and connect with these characters has taught them that perseverance and hope can take them as far as they can dream of.
