This time of year, supplies have seriously dwindled. Teachers order supplies (from a small budget) for the year in August, and replace with their own money as the year goes on. My students, often for a variety of reasons beyond their control, frequently come to school lacking even the most basic supplies, such as a pencil or coloring supplies. Instead of fussing over them not having a pencil, I like to provide these to them. Dry erase markers provide opportunities for class involvement. I like to give them opportunities to get out of their seats! Dry erase markers run out surprisingly fast!
