This year all sixth grade students will learn about and play the acoustic guitar. Twenty four guitars were donated to our school but they are in a state of disrepair. To make the guitars usable, the strings must be replaced and a number of pick guards glued back onto the guitar body. We also need picks and a tuner for the students to use. Each student will learn and practice the basics of guitar playing. They will learn to tune the guitar with a tuner, strum and pick basic melodies and chords. The students are very excited to get started.
