Flexible seating allows students to be happier and more engaged learners. When was the last time you as an adult were forced to sit in an uncomfortable seat for a prolonged period of time? If we, as adults, have a hard time with this type of task, think what it must be like for an 8-year-old child. Furthermore, when do you find yourself completing your best work? When you are most comfortable, of course! Let's harness some of that youthful energy to be used as extra brain power through the power of wobble chairs and balance seats. My students will be able to wiggle while we learn!
