Preparing any teenagers for the real world is tough business, but when our students are also struggling with intellectual disabilities, autism, and emotional disabilities, it's that much harder. We are creating a 4-year program to get students ready for the real world, but we need curriculum. These books will be part of a larger plan to create a structured, guided curriculum that we will pilot on our campus, and hopefully offer to other similar programs district wide. In four years, we want to take our students from kids to adults, with skills and experiences that will feed a lifetime of success and satisfaction.
