This book, "Wonder," will greatly impact my students. Students tend to make the deepest and most meaningful connections when they read about characters they can relate to. We will use this book to discuss common literary elements such as character and theme, but also life lessons. In my classroom, we focus on students led discussion and questioning. This book is a great catalyst for those types of conversations. This class set of books will allow us to have whole class, meaningful discussions about making good choices and standing up for what is right. I plan to read this novel after state testing to keep my students engaged through the end of the year and to finish thirrd grade with something they can carry with them the rest of their lives.
