As teachers, we are encouraged to provide our students with a learning environment that works best for our kids. After teaching for five years, I have found that my students need to be able to get comfortable while working independently. I realized this year, after having a small carpet and six pillows, that they were the hot commodity! So in order to be fair to all, I would pull sticks for students to be able to use these items. I would love to provide a learning environment that allows all students access to comfort to enhance their learning. I would love to provide them with Flex space comfy floor seats, Flex space wobble chairs, and soft seats. Students will have the opportunity to use these during our Daily 5 time, reading to self, working on writing, word work, or reading to someone. Having this space will give students a chance to spread out, focus, and enjoy what they are working on. It will also eliminate any fidgeting in their regular classroom seats.
