My students study many subjects in a single classroom. The subjects include Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Word Study, and Spelling. We also use a reading program called Junior Great Books, which promotes discussion about literature. All of these subjects require a notebook, workbooks, and folder. In addition, some require additional reading materials such as books and textbooks. Student do not have adequate space in their desk alone. Some students end up putting materials on their desk, which limits their work space. Others put things on the floor and they become dirty and damaged. Having a seat sack will help students organize their classroom materials effectively.
