My students need a listening center with headphones, and a storyteller read-along library so that all children can independently access reading materials, leading to them developing fluency and accuracy with their reading. My class will benefit from having access to books and CDs with a new listening center. Listening to fluent reading helps early readers learn fundamental reading skills. Listening to audio books will benefit my students by allowing them to become more proficient readers. This will help them develop a love for reading and encourage them to work hard to become self-assured readers. Developing reading skills will help our students be successful in many areas of their education. Listening centers promote language, vocabulary, fluency, intonation and accuracy skills. Please consider donating to help develop these students into life long readers and develop a love and appreciation for books and story telling.
