The STEM materials I am requesting will allow my students to become critical thinkers, expose them to science and engineering vocabulary, and will lead them to become the next generation of innovators. By exposing my students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and potentially pursue a job in a STEM field. A curriculum that is STEM-based has real-life situations to help students learn. STEM activities can help bridge the gender, ethnic, and socioeconomic gaps we often find in science and math. STEM allows all students to be exposed to hands-on, active learning. Some of the items like the K'Nex, the Legos, and the Zoob builders will help them learn by actively creating physical structures. While some of the items like the Gravity Maze Marble set, the Space Building set, and the IQ Builder set will expose the students to more logical thinking. I know each item will be utilized and my students will be able to create and learn from each one of them.
