My project is a simple one. The pencil sharpener has been a frustrating battle. New packs of pencils don’t last long before they are chewed into oblivion by our crank style sharpener bolted onto the counter near the sink. White boards and markers- how I miss having these. Unfortunately the ones I did have had to be left behind in my old room when I moved and switched schools. There are so many times when student response boards would help me quickly check for understanding before moving on in a lesson. It would also save us a lot of wasted paper during our math block. Although there are some things I prefer kept for future reference in their math journals, there are other instances where we just need to practice a skill.
