Reading Phones are a wonderful resource for struggling readers because they help develop their phonological processing abilities. They aid in increasing proficiency in both fluency and comprehension. Reading Phones allow students to monitor their own reading without disrupting their classmates and also help students who have trouble concentrating focus on their text while reading independently. Reading Phones are also proven to be highly effective with English Language Learner as they are developing their decoding and vocabulary skills as well. They are an excellent tool for helping students build their reading confidence by overcoming their reluctance to read aloud. Statistics say that a students reading below grade level in 3rd Grade will still be a struggling reader in 10th grade. Your donation will not only impact the literacy of my students now, but will continue to effect them for years to come.
