We will start our next book study with Sideways Story, which the kids will love. In the past, we have had only a few books needed, forcing many students to double up on books or go without. This also makes activities needing the books more difficult. Having a class set of books will improve the learning and interest of all students. My students need to have the opportunity to reread and work through each chapter of the book at their own pace without worry of moving too slowly or too quickly. This will also allow me to work with students who are in need, in a smaller group. I know my students will be so grateful to be able to have a book of their own.
