Hello everyone! My name is Abby L and I teach preschool, ages 3-5, at River's Edge Headstart located in Bridgeton, NJ. Gateway Action Community Partnership's Headstart program is designed to provide free child care services to low income families in our area. We provide children with three free meals a day, children brush their teeth at school, and are given access to a sheet and blanket for nap time. Parents are encouraged to volunteer their time to help within the classrooms. Within our community, there is a high level of ESL learners. During our day, my students and I are constantly speaking both Spanish and English. I believe our Bridgeton students would greatly benefit from having access to technology in a way that is interactive and fun! This will further expand their abilities to progress in both languages!
