I requested this project because of the recent school shootings in our home state of Florida. We try our best as a school to make sure that our students and staff members are safe, but there is always something else that can be done to make it more safe. One thing we can do is for every staff member to have their own walkie-talkie. This would allow us to be able to communicate in the event of an emergency. Communication is the most cructial factor during an emergency and the walkie-talkies would make it so details of the situation could be shared in a timely and effective manner. In the end, all we want is for our students to be "Safe at School".
