My students are high energy and in constant motion. They come from varied backgrounds with many students in single parent homes and others being raised by grandparents. Our school qualifies as a Title One school, which means we have a high percentage of children from low income families. These second grade students are eager to learn. They require a lot of attention and stimulation to keep them focused on the lessons each day. I am trying to create a space for them to learn that will help them focus and allow them to be creative, while building the knowledge that they will need to continue on in school.

About my class
