Much of my instruction time is lost talking to students about how to properly sit in traditional chairs or focusing my students back to the lesson as they become unfocused. Getting these stools and exercise balls will allow my students to get the sensory input their bodies need by allowing them to move and fidget on their seats in a safe way. Ultimately, increasing my instructional time and increasing learning. Students learn best when they are comfortable and focused. Adding these new seating options to my classroom will allow for students to pick seating that they are comfortable with. Once they are comfortable they will be able to maintain focus and therefore learn more from instruction and classroom time.
