Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning by making choices. Throughout the day, students can support their learning by utilizing multiple seating options. Having the ability to make seating choices has multiple benefits in the classroom including better focus, less disruption and acting out. With flexible seating, students are empowered to self-reflect on what will meet their need the best. By having options that are efficient with the space in the classroom I can best meet the diverse needs in my classroom. The wobble stools and cushions allow movement while they are seated at their desks. The chair bands turn standard chairs into a sensory and movement supporting tool. These wobble options will incorporate into the existing choices in my classroom to meet the needs of all my learners.
