Students honored as Super Students, having earned a 4.0 G.P.A. or higher with no disciplinary issues or excessive absences, would win these items at a special awards luncheon, including lifestyle objects such as backpacks, water bottles, journals, and desk sets, both to improve their academic lives and to reward their dedication to their schooling. These items help them to continue their excellence as students and young people, despite their adverse obstacles. Cell phone chargers are added to the list to enable students, many of whom have no other ability to complete school work. Water bottles and travel mugs accommodate students who spend a great deal of time traveling after school, and who only get a chance to eat at the school itself. Bow ties and fashion accessories are niceties that many students cannot afford for themselves, and these help greatly with self esteem, as do the Black Panther t-shirts listed. Wreck this Journal, a fill out journal, allows students to express themselves and improve their self esteem and mental awareness.
