In our reading corner we currently have one flat bean bag. Although the bean bag started as a comfy chair in the beginning of the year, it has not stood the test of time. I am requesting two bungee chairs for students to sit in while independently reading. I want to provide a place in our classroom where students feel they can go to get excited about reading. Sitting in a plastic chair at a desk does not make kids excited about reading. During reading center time, students are encouraged to read their independent reading books. By offering two new comfortable chairs in our reading corner, students will be more inclined to get lost in a good book!
