Students will be able to manipulate and develop a deeper understanding of prisms and nets. With manipulative they can explore academic vocabulary like faces, vertices, etc. it also provides opportunities for accelerated children to explore angles and sums of angles within polygons. With white boards, students can solve problems at their own pace, have visuals, and share thought processes. The privacy boards provide students with a sense of security and privacy within their writing sessions, as well as privacy when testing. We sit at desks clustered together, and many students prefer to cover their work. As a teacher , it also gives me a true assessment of mastering a skill to drive instruction.
