Head Start provides the opportunity for every child to develop the building blocks for learning- physical and nutritional well-being, social and emotional competence, and developmental growth. Head Start works with families to strengthen them and support them in moving toward greater self-sufficiency. Our Head Start classroom in located in the Hazleton Integration Center in Hazleton, PA. In our classroom we have seventeen children between the ages of three and five that have a love for learning. . They come to school each day wanting to know what the word of the day is or what we are going to count. Most of my students live in low-income housing and do not have access to technology or things like transportation that we all take for granted. My goal for my students is to give them the best foundation for learning and instill of a love of learning that will last their whole lives.
