First off, I've taught time for two years, and elapsed time is a very difficult concept to grasp! I've used a form of these rulers in my class, but they are flimsy and not as good as they can be. My students really loved the way these Time Rulers were laid out. I see success for my students using these. Tools, like the Time Ruler and Fraction Equivalency Boards would be a great addition to my classroom to really engage my students to the best of their ability! Fractions were a huge deal and my students tried so hard to understand the importance and the concept of equivalent fractions, but I did not have the right resources to be of service to them. I have some wiggly worms! The stools would be a match-made in heaven for my class! Right now, I have utilized milk crates as a form of flexible seating. These stools would be much more comfortable and would be such a blessing for our classroom. Allowing students flexible seating creates an inviting atmosphere for learning.
