Flexible seating options will allow students to choose a seating arrangement that will optimize their daily classroom experience. Students would be able to use stability balls to allow for movement. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. Lap desks will allow students to choose their work spot in the classroom-they are lightweight and can be easily moved. Stools will also allow for physical movement. Implementing flexible seating in my class would make the classroom more accessible for the students, increase student engagement, and open the room to a variety of learning styles--there will be places to collaborate, to work silently, to read. With a fulfilled project, my classroom would look very different! I would be able to offer my students a variety of seating options based on what best meets their needs.
