Five and six year olds especially love to do art projects. It is the highlight of their day! They will always complete their "work" to get to the project table. Not a day goes by that we do not use many markers and paper. While they are having fun, the children do not even realize that they are continuing their work. Literacy skills are the foundation of kindergarten. With construction paper and markers the students will be able to create appropriate responses to books read aloud to them. All students deserve access to the tools necessary to do their best learning and in kindergarten those basic tools are paper and markers!

About my class
