Most people need increased mobility in their work day, teenagers not excluded. I want my students to train themselves to sit and stand during our daily 90-minute class periods. Sitting all day is exhausting; if teenagers have the option to stand while they work, learning will increase. My students need , ideally, 30 Seville Classics Pneumatic Sit/Stand Mobile Desk Carts for increased movement and mobility. Mobility in a classroom is essential; moving desks into groups with ease promotes peer learning and physical movement. My students will work in groups, working with different texts based on a variety of themes; students will choose the themes that they wish to pursue and will be grouped accordingly. Oftentimes, the chore of dragging desks into groups then dragging them back into place discourages both students and the teacher to engage in group work. To add the option of standing for these students while they work will promote learning.
