From Kindergarten to Fifth grade, 15-25 of struggling readers at each grade level come to our RtI class for fantastic reading intervention activities. (We typically service 100-120 per week!) Out teachers keep the learning fast paced and fun by playing rhyming and memory games. We want our students to feel really successful learning important early reading skills. We want them to develop a life-long love of reading! Students also use laptops at their table to play phonics-based games that let them immediately practice skills they've just worked on with their teacher. We use specific curriculum that targets the reading skills they need the most. Students not only practice and internalize critical reading skills, but they have huge opportunities to be successful because of the targeted nature of the curriculum.
