These new books will continue our classroom excitement about reading. We work through our standards daily; I try to provide excitement and a new way of achieving the standards through thematic teaching. These colorful books, new stories, and new packaging provide a catalyst for students to want to read. Students will share with their siblings and families that there are new games, new projects, and new things that they learned in school today. Many of my students rarely experience new books that challenge and provide success for them alone. They are very familiar with hand-me-downs. These will reinforce our classroom mantra that each student is capable of success in his/her own way.

About my class
