Reading is an area where my students struggle. They have dealt with adversity and poor academic performance most of their lives. When they see a large passage or book they freeze. They would rather NOT do the work than be embarrassed by reading orally. I want to provide them the opportunity to develop confidence in and grow their reading and writing skills. Having headphones available to quiet the classroom to allow self confidence in reading and comprehension would be an awesome experience! With increased confidence and skills the sky is the limit for these amazing kids! Nothing would make me prouder than to continue teaching a reading intervention program to my students and hearing them clearly and proudly read aloud!! By donating to this project and providing headphones, YOU can help these students find their strength and confidence. YOU will be responsible for allowing literacy to grow in my students!!
