My students need engaging chapter books. They have recently caught the “reading bug” and we need books to keep them interested. They have read every book in our classroom library! My students love to read about diverse characters in situations similar to theirs- we need books to excite them. Books that reflect their lives help them relate to characters and escape into another world teaching them empathy and understanding. We need a wide variety of levels for our diverse readers. Many of our students read below grade level and the best way to get them on grade level is to have awesome books easily accessible in my classroom!
