My students need access to technology in our classroom to participate in activities that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition and building math skills. They need to be engaged in literacy through programs where students will be able to listen to stories online as well as, reading along with online books that will improve their reading skills. These activities will be used during learning center times throughout the day as we read and learn together. They will be able to use these Chromebooks during small group instruction, independently or during whole group instruction while I model . Your generous donation to our project will improve our 1st grade classroom by building stronger readers and math whizzes, and this will change our students' lives for the better. For some children, these Chromebooks will be the only technology they ever get to explore. They will love school and feel success at an early age --- having fun while learning!
