All students will have ample opportunity to use, play, and manipulate puppets and plush toys to the utmost of their imagination when coming to the library. These reading puppets and plush toys are a wonderful tool in the schools library, the heart of the campus, in that they will be used from PK to 5th in promoting a love of reading for pleasure. Puppets and plush toys are great storytellers and give life to any book they read. Students easily find the humor and enjoyment of being read to by an adult with puppets and plush toys; in turn using puppets to mimic adult reading on their own. Even older students 3rd through 5th grade enjoy playing and reading with puppets and plush toys, practicing storytelling to the younger grades through puppets. Once project is funded puppets will be placed around the library with suggested book combinations for added reading enjoyment. Puppets and plush toys will be used and modeled with daily to bring the library's collection alive.
