My students are all pregnant and/or parenting teens attending a public charter school in Daytona Beach. Our school offers our students childcare so that they may obtain a high school diploma while their children are in a safe learning environment on our campus. I want my students to read to their children. So many of them do not because they do not enjoy reading themselves. That is what I want to change. If I can interest my students in reading, I hope that they will read to their children on a regular basis, in turn, creating an interest in reading for their own children.
