My sixth-grade students need new books in the classroom library. Students are more eager to read books that aren't worn and old. They will connect to books that have characters who are similar to them. Students need access to rigorous ELA resources that promote critical thinking and analytical skills. Scholastic Scope magazine connects students to real-world topics and issues. This classroom literacy magazine also promotes differentiation and utilizes the Four Cs. I believe Scholastic Scope will help me continue to raise Lexile levels and achievement scores of our students. This literary resource will be used weekly and can be accessed online as well.
