These hands-on materials will help students use their fine-motor skills, acquire letter and sound awareness, and tackle important mathematic skills. Children at this age learn by doing; however, what may seem as small and simple materials can be very expensive. The magnetic letters will be used to practice spelling their names, the letter and sound picture magnets and pocket chart will help prepare students for reading and writing, the tweezers will aid in working on their fine motor skills, which are crucial for writing, and the pop and count will be used for students who are ready to step into addition. All of the materials have been purposely chosen to provide enriched learning experiences that will not only boost every developmental domain, but also their self-esteem and excitement for learning.
