With your help, students in my class will have access to scientific tools such as a microscope, magnifying glasses, test tubes, and pipettes. With these tools, they will get to explore the world around them through the lens of a scientist and choose experiments that are important to them. They will also be able to explore our 3D shapes math unit with actual 3D shapes! Students will be much more successful in this unit if they have actual 3D shapes to learn from. Students will practice their engineering, critical thinking, and communication skills with various building materials. These materials will make a huge difference in our classroom and give students more opportunities to learn about math and science in ways that are meaningful to them. In kindergarten, it is especially important for students to learn through experimenting, investigating and building.
