Two of our countries most infamous presidents are famously quoted with the following: John F. Kennedy:"Ask not what your country can do you for you, ask what you can do for your country." Washington, D.C. is our nation's capitol and the backbone of American politics. Visiting the historical landmarks and museums can offer our students a chance to experience our country's culture firsthand. All students should be provided with the equal opportunity to travel outside of their neighborhood in order to experience the rich culture of America. The IS 2 debate team will visit the Smithsonian Museum, Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial. They will also go to Georgetown University for their first college tour. This trip will offer the students insight into the development of our country, in addition to showing them the benefits of college.
